EASTER OFFERING IN THE CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE HADAPSAR PUNE INDIA.
The Easter offering in the Church of the Nazarene is an annual donation that supports the World Evangelism Fund. The money raised from the offering helps the church fulfil its mission of spreading the message of hope and salvation worldwide.
The Easter offering has been a tradition in the Church of the Nazarene for over 75 years. Stewardship Ministries provides resources to help churches communicate the offering to their congregations.
The Church of the Nazarene Hadapsar Pune, India, collects the Easter offering for the World Evangelism Fund and hands it to the local district office, sending it to the Global Church via the India field.
Alabaster Offering
The Alabaster Offering provides funds for property and buildings around the world. While we understand that the church consists of the people of God and not a building, buildings erected for ministry help provide a sense of permanence, functionally enhance ministry efforts, and convey an attitude that the Church of the Nazarene intends to “put down roots.” Alabaster funds help provide land for many Work & Witness projects, and the entire Alabaster Offering goes toward purchasing land and constructing churches, schools, medical facilities, and homes for missionaries and national workers.
How does it receive?
The Alabaster Offering reaches the mission field through several avenues, with the most widely used being the Alabaster Box. Individuals are encouraged to contribute to the cost of items they desire regularly but do not need. The boxes also serve as reminders to pray for those who will benefit from Alabaster buildings.
Alabaster boxes
We give Alabaster boxes to the congregation. Church members collect money in those boxes according to their convenience. They bring that money as an Alabaster offering to the church in September.
THANKSGIVING OFFERING
The Thanksgiving Offering for the World Evangelism Fund, a long-standing Church of the Nazarene tradition for over 80 years, is often celebrated in local churches with a Thanksgiving meal, a missionary speaker, and various creative activities.
We encourage the congregation to give thanksgiving offerings in November to contribute to the World Evangelism fund.
